Shannon Wallace CDP, CDC will talk about brain health, what it is and the factors that can affect it, and how music can be used as one of numerous therapeutic modalities for not only our brain health, but also for our body and soul health. During her talk, Shannon will also demonstrate (with audience participation) how the mind, body and spirit are directly and positively impacted by music.

Musical Memory Care
Shannon Wallace is a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners; is Dementia Care Certified; and is the founder and CEO of Musical Memory Care™, an in-person and live online workshop program that specializes in interactive music, movement and sensory-memory workshops for active adults in group and individual settings; and those of all ages living with dementia/cognitive impairment/IDD, along with their care partners. To date, the program has served 1000s statewide and has reached live online participants in all of North America and 40 countries around the world. Program supporters include Barrow Neurological Institute, AARP, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Alive Inside Foundation and the Virtual Brain Health Center, among others. Shannon’s career spans 30-years in professional, international music performance, television, marketing and public policy/advocacy.
